William "Willie/Bill" R. Schutz

William "Willie/Bill" R. Schutz, 88, of Meadville passed away June 28, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Meadville, on February 9, 1938, to the late John and Alice (Miller) Schutz.

On November 18, 1978, Bill married Nancy Siverling; she survives.

Willie worked for Zamias, Associate, and Donley's Construction Companies, from where he retired. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, shuffleboard, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, Bill is survived by his daughter Carrie Knott (Gary) of Conneaut Lake; his son William Schutz, Jr. of CA; two granddaughters Mariah (Nathan) of FL, Kalli of VA; two grandsons Jason and Chris of CA; a sister Mary Sample; nephew Scott; two sisters in law, a brother in law; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Albert; step father Sam Mitchell; brother in law Ted Sample; and niece Debbie Baird.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, which will be announced.
