William Gary Clark, 76, of Cochranton, passed away from an extended illness surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

William was born in Sadsbury Twp., on February 17, 1949, a son of the late William E. and Edna (Raysor) Clark.

On August 16, 1980, William married Roberta E. Richards; she survives.

Following his graduation from Cochranton Jr./Sr. High School in 1969, William proudly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving his country honorably until his discharge on July 9, 1976. He went on to work for the Crawford Central School District, dedicating 35 years to the Maintenance Department at Cochranton Elementary School before retiring. Earlier in his career, he also served at Cochranton Jr./Sr. High School and Meadville High School.

After retirement, William enjoyed working at Rynd Farm. He found joy in the outdoors—whether mowing the lawn, bicycling in his younger years, or tinkering around the house fixing things. He also had a fondness for watching Walker, Texas Ranger and The Lawrence Welk Show.

William will be remembered as a hardworking man with a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife Roberta, of 44 years, William is survived by three children William Clark, Alvin Clark, Melissa E. Cornwell (Jesse) of Cambridge Springs; three grandchildren; three sisters Edna Peirce of Meadville, Alice Nemeth (Frank) of Cochranton, Nancy Mangilo Bittner (William) of Meadville; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Clark, a brother Thomas Clark, and a brother-in-law David Peirce.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 8, with Pastor Sam Marchetta officiating.

William will be laid to rest in Cochranton Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.

Memorial contributions may be made in William's memory to Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, or VFW Post #2006, 1045 S. Morgan St., both in Meadville, PA 16335.
