William "Bill" F. Rowland, 83, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Marquette Hospice House.
Bill was born in Meadville, on November 19, 1942, a son of the late Keagy F. and Anna L. (Porter) Rowland.
On August 8, 1964, Bill married Martha Brown; she survives.
He was an active member of Meadville Alliance Church.
In 2013, Bill retired as a carbon grinder specialist from Holbrook Tool and Molding. He had previously been employed by Proform Tool, SMC, and for a brief time he worked for the railroad. He was a 1962 graduate of The Vo Tech Tool and Die Program and of Meadville High School. Bill volunteered his time and talents with the construction of the Meadville Pregnancy Center. He also volunteered with the Meadville Soup Kitchen where he also served as the Board of Directors. He had a lifelong passion for the Crawford County Fair and served on the Fair's 50th Year Anniversary Committee. He painstakingly created a built to scale model of the fair grounds to include barns, buildings, etc. Bill loved being outdoors, especially working in his flower gardens, raising his red raspberries, watching the birds, and tending to his bird feeders.
In addition to his wife, Martha, of 61 years, William is survived by two children Stephen Rowland (girlfriend Brenda Calladine), Beth Bustmante (Jason Paul) both of Meadville; six grandchildren Amanda Tomnay, Porter James Rowland, Bailey Bustmante, Jayden Bustmante, Janessa Bustmante, Brock Bustmante; a great grandchild Theo Bustmante; and a brother in law Richard Brown (Goldie) of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Family and friends are invited to call from 3-5 PM on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Meadville Alliance Church, 660 N. Main St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will follow at 5 PM with Rev. Jeffrey Conley officiating.
William will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
