William A. Massey, Jr.

William A. Massey, Jr., 90, of Meadville, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2020.

William was born in Kiskimere, on May 19, 1930, a son of the late William A. and Ethel (Edge) Massey, Sr.

After many years of service William retired from the Maintenance Department of the former PPG Industry. He began his career in Crayton and transferred to the Meadville area. He was a long time member of the NAACP, where he served as past president. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, working in his garden, and in his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling. He was also a former member of United Faith Fellowship Church, Meadville. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. William found peace in knowing he was Going Home. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Mary, of 71 years, William is survived by two children Rose Marie Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA, Andrew Massey of Meadville; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister Jane Booker and her husband Lee of Cleveland, OH; a host of nieces and nephews.
