Wanda Lea Baldwin

Wanda Lea Baldwin, 95, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, Allison Park, PA.

Lea was born in Salem, OH on November 5, 1930, a daughter of the late Mervin and Helen (Forney) Greenawalt.

On January 2, 1954 Lea married Henry "Buz" W. Baldwin, Jr. who she met when they attended Kent State University. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2013.

While living in Saegertown, Lea was an active member of Saegertown United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had also been a member of Saegertown Women's Improvement Club, Saegertown Heritage Society, Saegertown Main Street Committee, the Red Hat Society, and the Eat and Travel Club.

Lea had a long and successful teaching career. Over the years she taught in Cleveland schools, Erie/Millcreek schools and Penncrest School District. Adored by her students, she was known for her discipline of BIG TALKERS in her classroom. Lea loved traveling and visiting family throughout the United States. She enjoyed swimming and in her younger years mastered synchronized swimming. Lea was someone that others loved to be around to hear her tell her stories. She expressed a genuine interest in others she met and had a way of making everyone feel special. She will be sadly missed.

Lea is survived by six children Leslie Latour (Terry), Henry W. Baldwin III, Jeff Baldwin (Roberta), Cheryl Baldwin, Wm Todd Baldwin (Linda), Clarica Stanish (Frank); thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; Greenawalt Family: niece Leysa Nezbeth (Doug); and nephew Keith Greenawalt (Jody Hughey) as well as many Baldwin Family nieces and nephews on her husband’s side.

In addition to her parents, and husband Henry Baldwin, Jr., Lea was preceded in death by a daughter Heidi Baldwin; brothers Jim Greenawalt and Jerry Greenawalt.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Saegertown United Methodist Church, 620 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will follow at 4 PM with Pastor Jeff St. Clair officiating.

Lea will be laid to rest with her husband in Saegertown Cemetery.
