Sara "Sally" L. Kelihar

Sara "Sally" L. Kelihar, 91, of Meadville, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Meadville Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Sara was born in Pittsburgh, on July 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Sarah (Hageman) Sindlinger.

On April 10, 1954, Sally married Steve A. Kelihar; he preceded her in death on October 11, 1980.

Sally was an active member of United Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer for over 60 years.

Sally was a 1952 graduate of Linesville High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. When her children were older, she worked for Crawford Central School District and became head baker of Meadville Senior High School. She later became employed by the former Holiday Inn/Days Inn where she was in charge of Housekeeping. Additionally she provided care giving services for many years and did home cleaning for many families until recently. She enjoyed cleaning and working out in her yard. Sally often looked after others, especially those that were sometimes overlooked. An animal lover, she had a soft spot for her growly dog, Floyd. Her Lord and her family were the most important things in her life. She treasured her children, grandchildren nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Sally is survived by two children Kim Berly (John) of Meadville, Steve Kelihar (Cathy) of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren Adrienne Vittorio (David), Megan Newman (Tony), Mindy Milby-Tuttle (Bradley); five great grandchildren Alina Newman, Asher Newman, Carter Newman, Grant Tuttle, Lucy Tuttle; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Outliving all of her siblings, she was preceded in death by a sister Doris Miller, four brothers Charles, Clyde, Jack, and Kenneth Sindlinger.

Per Sally's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Sally will be laid to rest with her husband, Steve, in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
