Ruth M. Lybarger

Ruth M. Lybarger, 90, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born at home in Saegertown, on October 6, 1935, a daughter of the late Morris and Alice (Schlosser) Shelenberger.

On August 1, 1953 Ruth married Robert A. Lybarger; he preceded her in death on December 13, 2012.

She attended Christ Evangelical Free Church in Saegertown.

Ruth graduated from Saegertown High School in 1952.

She is survived by brothers Richard Duane Shelenberger, Charles Shelenberger, Philip Shelenberger and by sisters Dorothy Harrison, Christine McCullough and Janet Sheakley. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Lybarger, a brother Harold Eugene, two sisters Shirley Marvin and Margaret June Shelenberger.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1-2 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Sam Marchetta officiating.

Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband, Robert, in Saegertown Cemetery.
