Roger W. Miller, 67, of Meadville, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at home with his family by his side.
Roger was born in Meadville, on June 18, 1957, a son of the late Leon and Marie (Paradis) Miller.
On June 2, 1984 Roger married Brenda Schlosser; she survives.
Roger had been employed by Suburban Propane retiring after 24 years of service. Not one to stay idle, Roger enjoyed driving for CATA Transportation, for the last two years. He was a hot air balloon enthusiast for the past 30 years and was fortunate to pilot his balloon Daydreamer, for 26 of those years. He had a passion for anything balloon related, attending many balloon events in the tri-state area along with becoming an instructor, allowing others to appreciate his love of ballooning. In his earlier years Roger was an officer and volunteered his time as a firefighter and EMT for Vernon Central Hose Company. He enjoyed the outdoors whether he was kayaking, participating in 5-K events, camping, or driving his snow mobile. If he was forced to stay indoors, he enjoyed collecting model trains, building his train set or attending train shows. He loved the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed.
In addition to his wife Brenda of 40 years, Roger is survived by his son Jason A. Miller (Jaime) of Meadville, five grandchildren; Lydia Betts (Michal Bosek), Sierra Miller, Jameson McIntyre, Rylee McIntyre and Arianna Miller and his aunt and many cousins
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Sonny and David Miller.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 3-6 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE, Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Jeff St. Clair, pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.
Roger will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.
