Robert J. VanTuil

Robert J. VanTuil, 99, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at home.

Robert was born in Stoneboro, on February 13, 1927, a son of the late John and Helen (Reichter) VanTuil.

On April 22, 1955, Robert married Mary Lou Boyd; she preceded him in death on August 13, 2003.

He was a longtime member and faithful servant of Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Following his 1945 graduation from Stoneboro High School, Robert attended Moody Bible Institute. Robert had a lifetime filled with entrepreneurship adventures which included Loeffler's and VanTuil Photo among others.

Robert is survived by two children Dr. Sharon DellaGrotta (Gary) of Londonderry, NH, Kurt VanTuil (Jan) of Meadville; four grandchildren Keith DellaGrotta (Maria), Lynn DellaGrotta Edelmann (Jason), Benjamin VanTuil (Abigail), Candice VanTuil; three great grandchildren Matteo DellaGrotta, Andrew VanTuil, Tucker VanTuil; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by siblings Lt. Col. Jack VanTuil, Norbert VanTuil, and Frances VanTuil.

Visitation is from 2-5 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

Funeral Services will be private.

Robert will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
