Richard Samuel Paris, 84, of Saegertown, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
Richard was born at home in Meadville, on February 26, 1942, a son of the late Joseph and Carmella (Basile) Paris.
On July 17, 1965, Richard married Sandra E. Tracy; she survives.
Richard retired from the former Meadville Malleable. He possessed a lifelong passion for music, especially for both the electric and acoustic guitar. Over the years he sang and played in various bands for countless clubs in the Meadville area. One of the first places he performed was at the former Joy Land. Among his favorite music to play was Old Country, Country Rock, and the Eagles music. Richard carried that music passion also while living in Arizona where he played at many different clubs. He was always proud that his band performed for Hells Angels and they treated the band with much respect.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, of 60 years, Richard is survived by four children Richard L. Paris (Stephanie) of WI, Anthony S. Paris (Sandra L.) of Cochranton, Jennifer Marie Paris of Saegertown, Candace Vatter (Thomas) of Carmichaels; fifteen grandchildren Mindy Romnek (Donnie), James Neu, Amanda Veselinov (Jacob), Angie Veselinov, Justin Coffman, Jessica Coffman, Ashley Paris, Joe Erickson (Angi), Josh Erikson, Cristina Hilliard (Stan), Sammi Lynn Paris (Cory Bartlett), Toni Marie Scott (Daniel), Samuel Paris, Jeff Newell (Donna Jean), Brian Newell (Mikokoo); 32 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Gumino, infant Patty; two brothers Joseph Paris, Albert Paris; and two great granddaughters.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 6 PM, with Rev. Brian Hasenkopf officiating.
Richard will be laid to rest in Rynd Farm Cemetery, Venango County.
