Richard Michael Brown

Richard Michael Brown, 75, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center.

Richard was born in Titusville, on June 4, 1950, the youngest of nine children born to the late Alfred Victor and Viola (Lenninger) Brown.

On December 21, 1985, Richard married Kathleen "Kathy" Price; she survives.

Richard was a 1968 graduate of Titusville High School where he enjoyed playing varsity baseball. A veteran, Richard served his country as a member of the US Coast Guard. Following his honorable discharge, he managed a gas station in Titusville before moving to Meadville in the early 1970's. He went on to work at the former Abex and also for American General Insurance before beginning a 20 year career with Advance Cast Products, retiring in 2012. He was an avid sports fan and always rooted for the Steelers and all Pittsburgh sports. Richard loved the outdoors, especially walking, taking in nature. He equally loved animals and had a special fondness for his dog Louie and his late dogs Nacho and Gabby. Richard will be remembered for the strong man that he was and for the deep love he had for his family.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, of nearly 40 years, Richard is survived by a daughter Kimberly (Brown) Grundy (Mark) of Sebastian, FL; two step sons Rob Stevens, Jason Stevens both of Meadville; two grandchildren Jonah Grundy, Ryan Grundy; two step grandchildren Madison Stevens (fiance' Cooper), Makayla Stevens (boyfriend Dayton); siblings Janice Wilson (Bob), Patrick Brown (Patty) both of Titusville; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by siblings Isabelle, Jack, Terry, Mary, Kate, and Mike.

Private Services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Pastor Mike MacAdams officiating and with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.

Richard will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Oil Creek Township.
