Rev. Dillen A. Vroman

Rev. Dillen A. Vroman, 88, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Embassy of Park Ave, after a lingering illness.

Dillen was born to the late Willard and Florence Vroman, on July 27, 1934.

He was a graduate of Spartansburg High School, class of 1952. Dillen spent a lifetime of service to God, serving as a pastor for 30 years, impacting lives in many churches. He retired as a Free Methodist Pastor in 1999, but continued preaching and working for the Lord. Dillen served as the interim Pastor for the First Baptist Church of Meadville, where he also attended. He worked for many years as a Tool and Die Maker in the Meadville Area. Dillen was an avid hunter. One of his greatest pleasures was working with his hands as a gifted carpenter, creating beautiful furniture and many items that are part of his legacy.

In addition to his loving wife Alice, of over 69 years, Dillen is survived by two daughters Vickie Strang of Mebane, NC, Darla Freehardt (Mark) of Clarksville, TN; daughter in law Cindy Vroman of Meadville; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Dorothy Miller, Kay Fink, George, Charles, Bruce, Evelyn Rose, Elizabeth Bowles, Martha Kush; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dillen was preceded in death by a son Ty Vroman, a son in law Patrick Strang; a grandson Todd Strang; and a brother Albert Vroman.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE.

Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 353 Chestnut Street, Meadville, with Pastor Jerry Walton, officiating.

Dillen will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Crawford County.
