Ralph Kenneth Shenk

Ralph Kenneth Shenk, 79, of North Wales, formerly of Meadville, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital, Landsdale.

Ralph was born in Cleveland, OH on April 2, 1942, a son of the late Homer and Ruth (Seither) Shenk.

On May 29, 1965 Ralph married Darlene B. Stabenau; she preceded him in death on November 26, 2010.

A veteran of the US Air Force, most of Ralph's service time was spent in Germany as a Power Plant Mechanic for F 105 Thunder Chief Jets. In 1973 he relocated to Meadville and established R.K.S. Equipment, Inc., a successful family business which supplied and serviced commercial fire alarms for more than 33 years. In his earlier years he was employed by the former Simplex. Ralph enjoyed spending time working on restoring classic cars, cruising on his Harley motorcycle, and helping a friend in need. He will be sadly missed.

Ralph is survived by three children Kimberly Farley (John) of North Wales, Kurt Shenk (Leslie) of Meadville, Shelly Ives (Dawson) of Saegertown; six grandchildren Leslie Biggs, Derrek Hunter, Ally Shenk, Emma Shenk, Devlin Ives, Trinity Ives; five great grandchildren Jacob Scott, Jackson Scott, Brayleigh Hunter, Bentley Hunter, Taylor Biggs; two brothers David Shenk (Joan) of Diamond, OH, Daniel Shenk (Charlotte) of Clarksville, TN; nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Darlene of 45 years.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

Funeral Services will be private with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.

Ralph will be laid to rest next to his wife, Darlene, in St. Brigid Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.
