Philip was born in Meadville, on July 18, 1929, a son of the late Joseph J. and Sarah (Guiffre) Galbo, Sr.
On August 11, 1956, Phil married Betty Marie Bunce; she survives; they shared 70 years of marriage.
He had been an active member of Stone United Methodist Church where he held several offices and volunteered in many capacities.
Philip attended Meadville schools in his early years before graduating from Kane High School. A Korean War veteran, Phil entered the US Air Force on October 16, 1950 and served his country until his honorable discharge on October 15, 1954. Phil had a successful career with Meadville Master Antenna, later becoming Armstrong Cable. In August, 2000, he was recognized with the Pride Award for his work initiative, dignity, and excellence reflecting a distinguished career in the cable television industry.
A former member of the Meadville Elks, Phil was a member of the Italian Civic Club and the VFW.
