Monroe R. Pope

Monroe R. Pope, 37, of 347 E. 3rd St. Erie, formerly of Meadville, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at home.

Monroe was born in Meadville, on March 14, 1977, a son of Booker T. and the late Ella Mae (Jenkins) Pope.

He was a 1995 graduate of Meadville High School.

Monroe is survived by two sisters Shelia Boozer and her husband Derrick of Columbus, OH, Clara Gray of Huntsville, AL, four brothers Booker Pope, Jr., Lamone Pope, Tommy Hawkins, San Antonio Hawkins, all of PA, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine Pope.

Family services have taken place.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
