Marlyn B. Wilson, 93, formerly of Saegertown, Pa., passed away August 26, 2025, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He was born in Cranberry Township, Pa., on May 18, 1932, the son of the late George and Sylvia (McClain) Wilson.
Marlyn was a 1951 graduate of Saegertown H.S. and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Talon (35 years), Systematic Tool, Saegertown Borough, and Wesbury, and was a member of First Christian Church, Meadville. He loved family, fishing, hunting, bird-watching, woodworking and a hot game of Bid 500.
Marlyn is survived by a daughter Correne (Michael) Bratten and their children Joel, Kelly, and Brian. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren (Lauren, Audrey and Ehren), a brother-in-law Clair Reichel, and 2 step-daughters Eleanor Geiger and Lynda Wasson.
Marlyn was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years Opal “Goldie” (Shiner), his second wife of 17 years Dean (Krupski), and his sister Arlene Reichel.
Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025, from 3-4 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, followed by the funeral service at 4 PM, with son-in-law, Michael Bratten, officiating. Military Honors will follow.
Marlyn will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.
