Mark E. Simcheck, 61, of 334 Bell Dr., Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at St. Vincent Health System, Erie.

Mark was born in Meadville, on September 23, 1952, a son of George P. and Eileen M. (Blakeslee) Simcheck

On June 19, 1976 Mark married Linda J. Bidwell; she survives.

He was a member of St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, Saegertown.

Mark was co-owner of Fame Manufacturing in Saegertown, where he worked since 1974. A 1970 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School, he went on to further his education by earning a Mathematics Degree from Edinboro College where he was part of the colleges Baseball Team. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, playing softball and basketball. Above all, Mark loved his grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them.

In addition to his wife, Linda, of 37 years, Mark is survived by two sons Jeremy Simcheck and his wife Abigail of Franklin, Travis Simcheck and his wife Ashley of Inman, S.C., five grandchildren Nicholas, Mason, Katelyn, Addison, Wyatt, his parents George and Eileen Simcheck of Cambridge Springs, three brothers George Simcheck, David Simcheck, Steve Simcheck and his wife Theresa all of Cambridge Springs, six nieces and nephews Zachary and Stephen Simcheck, Tyler, Derek, Alec and Laura Bidwell.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, at 10:00 on Monday, October 7, 2013, with Fr. Matthew Kujawinski, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will take place in Venango Cemetery.
