Margaret V. Prince, 98, of Saegertown, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Embassy of Park Ave.
Margaret was born in Conneaut Lake, on September 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Prislupski) Palahunik.
On April 15, 1963, Margaret married Ted Prince; he preceded her in death on June 2, 1976.
In her earlier years, Margaret was employed by the former Avtex Corporation until its closing in 1985. She went on to work part time at Subway in Saegertown. She also provided child care for many local families including the Rigby family with whom she remained close for many years. Margaret was a 1946 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. She enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins on TV and was fortunate to attend games with her family. She also enjoyed traveling with her family to Paris, France, and Hawaii and she looked forward to spending Christmas with family in Florida for many years.
Margaret is survived by two loving and caring daughters Gloria Post of Punta Gorda, FL, Sonja Bauer (Donnie) of Cochranton; a grandson Doug McKalip (Debbie) of Washington, DC, who made his grandmother proud of his success; a granddaughter Rachel Bauer of Cochranton who was loved very much; two great grandchildren Brooke and Brendan McKalip who were so much fun to be around and she loved dearly; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband Ted, Margaret was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary Litwiler, Julia Klenovich, Lena Bielobocky, Irene Hoovler, and a brother George Palahunik.
Private services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.
