Lorraine Offi, 79, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at her son's home, surrounded by her family.
Lorraine was born in Meadville, on May 26, 1946, a daughter of the late Anthony and Sylvia (Abbondanza) Bengivenga.
On September 18, 1965, Lorraine married Richard Offi; he preceded her in death on June 4, 2015.
Lorraine was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School where she was known as an artist for her love of drawing. She went on to become employed by the former American Viscose, until she became a full time homemaker enjoying all the pleasures of being a wife and mother. As her family grew older, she became involved in the family business, Offi Tool, as a bookkeeper. In later years she became a beloved mother in law and grandmother. A life member of VFW Post #2006, Lorraine was a former member of the ICC and Saegertown American Legion Post #205. Lorraine loved her 50's and 60's oldies music and also dancing to her favorites. She was known as many things including her awesome cooking skills, as the enforcer, for giving her honest opinion, but most of all for her selfless nature, as she would do anything for anybody. She will be sadly missed.
Lorraine is survived by two children Richard "Rick" Anthony Offi (Trisha) of Saegertown, Gina Marie Offi of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren Dominic Offi (Jules) and their daughter Danielle Offi, Felisha Offi (partner Andrew), Anthony Offi; a sister Diane Porter (Dan) of Woodbridge, VA; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Richard, of 49 years, Lorraine was preceded in death by two sisters Carolyn Unger and Antoinette Harvey.
Visitation is from 10 AM-12 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025, at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water Street, where a Mass of Resurrection will follow at 12 PM, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.
Lorraine will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine's memory to Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh, The Plaza Building, 451 44th St. Penthouse Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
