Linda (Rock) Fonger

Linda (Rock) Fonger, 82, of Meadville, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.

Linda was born on July 20, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Glenn Rock and Lillian (Kreutz) Rock.

She married David Fonger on February 13, 1965; he preceded her in death on May 1, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, baby girl Templeton.

Linda was retired. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and caring for her dog, Sampson. She had worked at Alcoa in Pittsburgh, Marco in Cochranton, The Doll Market and Deluxe in Greensboro, NC.

She is survived by her children David Fonger, Jr. and his wife Brenda of North Pole, AK, Jill Johnston and her husband Chris of Meadville, PA, Kate Templeton and her husband Bill of Buda, TX; four grandchildren Chris Fonger, Sarah Guichet, Daniel Murdock, Zachary Murdock; five great grandchildren Blake Guichet, Rowan Murdock, Canaan Murdock, Freya Murdock, and one on the way. She is also survived by her brother Glenn Rock and his wife Judy of Summerville, PA; a nephew Devin Rock; great nephew Colin Rock; and great niece Claire Rocke.

Per Linda's wishes, no services will be held.

Linda will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to Marquette Hospice House, or Hospice of Crawford County, both at 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA.
