Levette Newsome

Levette Newsome, 59, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, December 6th, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie.

Levette was born in Coldwater, MS on August 14, 1966, a daughter of Brenda (Newsome) and the late R.P. Hunt, Jr.

She was a member of United Faith Fellowship Church, Meadville.

Levette attended schools in Meadville, but received her high school diploma while living in FL. She was known to find pleasure and happiness in the simple things in life, her walks through Meadville or cooking in the kitchen with her mom provided her great joy. Going out to eat never got boring as she loved many of the local restaurants, some of her favorites were Pizza Villa and the Whole Darn Thing. She will be remembered for her warm personality and her generous spirit. Levette will be missed by all that knew her beautiful smile.

Levette is survived by her son Samer Newsome, her mom Brenda Boyd both of Meadville a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation is from 12- 2 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Home Going Service will follow at 1 PM, with Pastor Larry Wofford officiating.

Levette will be laid to rest Greendale Cemetery West Mead Twp.
