Leonard C. Daloise, 95, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Sugar Creek Station, Franklin.

Leonard was born at home, in Tarentum, on July 22, 1930, a son of the late Henry and Carmella (Calderelli) Daloisio.

In 1965 Leonard married Susan Leopold; she preceded him in death on January 30, 2025.

He had been a member of St. Brigid Church, Meadville.

Following his 1948 graduation from Tarentum High School, Len worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge and PPG in Creighton. A veteran of the US Air Force, Leonard served his country honorably from 1951 to 1955, where he was a photographer during the Korean Conflict. In 1958 he began his career with the PA state Police. During his tenure, he worked out of Troop E, consisting of Erie, Girard, Corry, Warren, Meadville, and Franklin. He was classified as an expert shooter, received citations, and was proud of his work in many high profile cases. He retired as a Cpl. in 1981 with 22 years of service. Len was a member of the P.S.P. Fraternal Order of Police Swanson Lodge #48. Leonard loved the outdoors. He and his son Curt spent endless hours hunting and fishing together. Leonard enjoyed fly fishing , archery hunting, muzzle loader hunting, and was an avid turkey hunter. He enjoyed living in the Rock and Roll era which included going to Wildwood, NJ, every year with his friends in his 1956 Ford convertible. In his later years he enjoyed meeting his buddies at McDonald's and fishing off the bridge on the causeway at Pymatuning Lake. Above all else, Leonard was devoted to his beloved wife and son. He loved them deeply as they did him. He will be sadly missed.

Leonard is survived by a son Curt Daloise (Companion Jamie Mills) of Utica; grandchildren Henry Daloise, Brady Kozlowski; a sister Florence Thimons of Fox Chapel; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter infant Olive Susan Daloise; siblings Louis Daloise, Henry Daloisio, John Daloisio, Ann Lattus and Mary Deres.
