Laverne Jenkins

Laverne Jenkins, 73, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. Saegertown.

Laverne was born in Meadville, on August 22, 1952, a son of the late Harvey and Anna (Dismukes) Jenkins.

Laverne is survived by four children Kimberly Kinney of IN, Jerome Moore (Laura), Marcell Jenkins (Jennifer), Deliaha Jenkins Moore, all of Meadville; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; three sisters Anna Fay Taylor (Jimmie) of NM, Michele Brown (Earl) of New Orleans, LA, Brenda Nash of New Castle, three brothers Harvey Jenkins (Renee), Milton Jenkins both of Cleveland, OH, Payton Jenkins (Shrell) of Kingston, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth and Samson.

A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday November 2, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Pastor Harold Goodrum officiating.

Laverne will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
