Kenneth "Lee" LeRoy Hunter

Kenneth "Lee" LeRoy Hunter, 88, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center.

Lee was born in Meadville, on November 14, 1936, a son of the late Kenneth H. and Isabelle (Householder) Hunter.

On November 27, 1959 Lee married Margaret "Peggy" L. Gourley; she survives.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Lee was a graduate of Saegertown High School, Class of 1956 where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He was a veteran of the US Army, spending time in Germany playing both baseball and basketball for the US Army. Lee was employed by the former Coca-Cola Plant in Meadville from 1962-1987, where he was a member of their bowling league. For the next 23 years he was employed by Greenleaf Corp retiring in 2011. In the years following, he enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his wife, Peggy, of 65 years, Lee is survived by his brother Dale Hunter (Mary Lou); his sister Becky Lawrence (Charles, Jr.) both of Saegertown; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by an infant sister Sheliah.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD STREET, SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will follow at 6 PM with nephew, Doug Hunter, officiating

Lee will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
