Kaureen M. Varhola

Kaureen M. Varhola, 70, of Saegertown, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Crawford County Care Center.

Kaureen was born in Meadville, on August 12, 1948, a daughter of the late Robert and Bernice (Hogan) Miller.

On August 3, 1974 Kaureen married William Varhola; he preceded her in death on December 8, 1999.

She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

For many years Kaureen was employed by Quality Living Center. Before she became a stay at home mother, she worked as a bank teller at the former Pennbank. She was a 1966 graduate of the former St. Agatha School. Her faith was very important to her and she was devoted to praying the rosary daily. A very compassionate person, Kaureen loved caring for her family. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching murder mysteries and attending luncheons with her friends. Her greatest joy was time spent with family, especially visiting with her grandchildren.

Kaureen is survived by three children Michael Varhola (Dawn Zappas) of Conneaut Lake, Jennifer Spratt (Daniel) of Clarksville, TN, Danielle McCurdy of Meadville, five grandchildren Brooke Hoey, Stephen Zappas, Charleigh Zappas, Cormac Spratt, Reese Spratt, one great grandchild Payton Hoey, a brother Wally Miller of Meadville, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, William, of 25 years, Kaureen was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 11-1 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM with Deacon Kevin Holland officiating.

Kaureen will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Township.
