Judith Ann Hoff

Judith Ann (Ritter) Hoff, lovingly known as Judy, passed away on July 10, 2026, in Summerfield, Florida, at the age of 89.

A longtime resident of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Judy was born on February 24, 1937, in Salamanca, New York, to Fred Ritter and Helen (Herrick) Ritter.

She spent most of her life in Meadville, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, service, and the simple joys that made a house feel like home. Judy graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in 1955. She began her working life as a cashier at the former Loblaws Grocery Store in Meadville and later worked for many years as a bank teller and as a clerk at Rite Aid pharmacy. Through each role, she was known for her friendly manner, reliability, and the ease with which she connected with people.

Judy was married to Charles “Dick” Hoff, who preceded her in death in 2017.

She is survived by her three children, Douglas (Anne) Graham of Southington, Connecticut, Diane (Bob) Dionne of Bristol, Connecticut, and David (Andrea) Graham of Bristol, Connecticut. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Allison and Kendall Graham of Bristol, Kyle Graham of Malden, Massachusetts, and Megan Tomaszewski and her husband, Adam, of Waterbury, Connecticut, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John “Jack” Ritter and James Ritter; and her sister, Patricia Wescott.

Judy had a gift for making people feel welcome. She loved sewing, bowling, and cooking, and she took great pride in opening her home for holidays, celebrations, and special occasions. Family and friends will remember the warmth of those gatherings, the traditions she helped create, and the many memories made around her table.

Before relocating to Summerfield, Florida, Judy was a member of the Eagles and the VFW, where she formed many lasting friendships. She was also active with St. Brigid Church and volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America, sharing her time and kindness with young girls and helping create cherished memories.

Judy’s family would also like to express their heartfelt thanks to Robert Wescott and Rich Lee for the many hours of time, help, and kindness they gave her while she was in Summerfield, Florida.

Dinner and drinks in the Villages was always a treat for her.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, followed by burial at St. Brigid Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. The services are open to family and friends.
