Joseph "Joe" Anthony Deltondo

Joseph "Joe" Anthony Deltondo, 96, of Meadville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Juniper Village, Meadville.

Joe was born in McKees Rocks, on March 6, 1929, a son of the late Peter and Agnes (DeBone) Deltondo.

He was the widower of Elizabeth "Betty" (Beltz).

He was of the Catholic faith.

After many years of service, Joe retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation as an Engineer in Research and Development. A U.S. veteran, he entered the Army on March 10, 1947 and served his country honorably until his discharge on September 9, 1948. A natural born athlete, Joe had a passion for slalom water skiing. He slalom skied competitively into his 80's and was a five time PA State Champion, three time Eastern Regional Champion, a two time top three finisher at the U.S. Nationals and held four National Ski League First Place Finishes. Additionally he served as an International Water Ski Federation Judge, AWSA Senior Judge, Chief Judge in the 2001 Eastern Regionals, and a four time event Judge at the U.S. Nationals. Joe took great pride in staying in shape.

Joe is survived by his daughter Estelle "Sis" Mack (Ken) of Meadville; five grandchildren Mark Deltondo, Elicia Winner, Allison Connelly, Matthew Deltondo, Tyler Deltondo; four great grandchildren Will Connelly, Leah Winner, Lily Deltondo, Emma Deltondo; siblings Delores Welsh, Don Deltondo both of McKees Rocks; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons Mark and Bill Deltondo, two brothers Ralph and Anthony Deltondo.
