Jeffrey Robert McCartney

Jeffrey Robert McCartney, 49, of Cochranton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at home.

Jeffrey was born in Erie, on February 6, 1976, a son of James R. and Kay L. (Gatesman) McCartney.

He was a member of St. Agatha Church.

Since 2022, Jeffrey was working in the Security Department of Wesbury. For many years prior to that he worked at various local golf courses mowing and maintaining the lawns, fairways and greens. A 1994 graduate of Cochranton Jr/Sr High School, Jeffrey also attended Triangle Technical School in DuBois. Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to music; the louder the better. Spending time with family and friends also brought him joy and he loved being with his dog Gizmo.

In addition to his parents James and Kay McCartney of Cochranton, Jeffrey is survived by his daughter Arybella McCartney of Meadville; twin brother Greg McCartney (Erin) of Perryopolis; nieces and nephews Brittany Brown (Jackson), Bradley McCartney (Sierra), Sierra McCartney, Karley McCartney, Dakota Lilley; great nieces and nephew Silas Brown, Maisie Brown, and Paisley McCartney.

Family and friends are invited to call from 5-8 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE., where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, July 19th, at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas, Pastor, officiating.

Jeffrey will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery.
