Janice L. (Kiser) Boyer

Janice Louise (Kiser) Boyer, 84, of Meadville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Crystal. She was surrounded by family.

Janice was born in Meadville, on April 8, 1942, a daughter of the late George and Janet (Huss) Kiser.

She was a member of Living Waters Church.

Janice was a graduate of Saegertown High School. For many years she worked in the Spinning Department of the former Avtex Fibers, until the plant's closing in 1985. She then went on to become a Certified Nurse's Assistant, retiring from Wesbury. Janice loved the outdoors. Planting flowers and walking in the woods were among her favorite things. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and caring for those she loved. In turn, her spicy personality brought much joy to those around her. She will be sadly missed.

Janice is survived by two daughters Crystal Cummings (Dale) of Saegertown, Valerie Lauer of Meadville; eight grandchildren Justin Fontana, Joshua Fontana (Ashley), Ryan Fontana (Tonia), Brittany Austin (Jay), Carrie Tomiczek (Josh), Stephanie Covell, Jordan Covell, Charity Covell; four great grandchildren Addysan, Paige, Brayden, Finley; six sisters Sandra Roloff (Lee) of Meadville, Linda Roth (William) of Centerville, Karon Sommers (Mervin) of Cochranton, Diana Moyer (Jerry), Annette Newhard (Michael) both of Saegertown, Pamela Curtis (Kim) of Meadville; three brothers Rick Kiser (Dawn), twins Randy Kiser and Ronnie Kiser (partner David), all of Saegertown; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a sister Donna Wise; a son in law Tim Lauer; three brothers in law Bernie Wise, William Runyan, and David Newhard.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11 AM-1 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM.

Janice will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
