James "Wes" Monroe Jones

James Monroe “Wes” Jones, passed away suddenly, Sun, June 14, 2026 in Meadville, PA.

James was born in Meadville, PA. on June 20, 1971 by Earnestine Jones and the late James M. Wofford Jr. who he precedes in death.

James was a hard worker where he worked at Allegheny College, Giant Eagle and McDonald’s. He loved joking around, playing cards and dominoes with friends and family.

James loved his family; he didn’t mind helping if he was able. We have to many funny memories of James from when he was a child as Mane to an adult as Wes. It was never a dull moment anytime he was present.

James is survived by his mother Earnestine Jones; 2 sisters Angela Jones and Mary Wofford-Moody (late Akim Moody); 2 brothers Aanik Jones and James Wofford III (Angela Wofford). James loved all 7 of children: Javon King, Mia & Jalessa (Magoo), Adrian, Marcus, Pierre (Jordan), and Monica Jones.

His nieces are Iesha Jones, Deja Wofford, Angelina Wofford, Amyah Moody, and Jordon Johnson. His nephews are Marlon & Marcus McCoy, Malik Sanders, and Jameson Wofford. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, bonus bothers & sisters, bonus nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11 AM - 1 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Home Going Service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Larry Wofford officiating.

James will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
