Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Eleanor; sons Jeffery, James Jr. (Elizabeth), David (Linda); daughter in law Patricia; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his son Randy; his granddaughter Rachel; his daughter in law Pamela Sue; brothers Tom and John; and sister Virginia.
