James "Jim" Jenkins, Jr.

James "Jim" Jenkins, Jr., 63, of Meadville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at home.

Jim was born in Meadville on August 6, 1960, a son of the late James and RosiLee (Newsome) Jenkins, Sr.

He was a member of United Faith Fellowship Church, where he bless many with his singing.

Over the years he had been employed by Allegheny College, C & J Industries and Warren Industries. Jim loved all things music. He enjoyed singing, playing the piano, guitar and drums. He also enjoyed writing music and poetry. He will be missed by many.

James is survived by his children James Silvis of VA, Jada Silvis, Leah Silvis, Jasmine Buttray all of Meadville; four grandchildren; two sisters Faye Wallace (John) of Youngstown, OH, Janice Jenkins of Meadville; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Taylor, JoAnn Jenkins; nephew John Wallace; and Stacey Clarett who was like a sister to him.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at United Faith Fellowship Church of God, 561 State St., Meadville, where a Home Going Service will follow at 1:00 PM.  For those not able to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed via facebook live on the funeral home's facebook page (Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.).  If  one is not able to tune in at 1 PM, the service will remain posted to the facebook page.
