Jacquetta Violet Byrns, 96, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Wesbury.
Jacquetta was born in Grandfield, OK, on February 10, 1930, a daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle (Hubbard) Douglas.
She married J.W. Byrns in 1947; he preceded her in death in 2001.
Jacquetta had been a member of First United Methodist Church, both in Titusville and Slippery Rock.
From the time Jacquetta married, until the 1960's, she and her family traveled and lived all over the country with J.W.'s work. They finally settled in Slippery Rock while raising their family before she moved back to Texas in the early 1970's. In 1985 they made their way back to Slippery Rock where she lived until 2010, when she made the move to the Titusville area. She had fond memories of working in her vegetable garden in Titusville and playing Bridge with her Bridge Club while living in Slippery Rock. She was blessed with a long life and a loving family.
Jacquetta is survived by four children Jamie Graham (Bill Brandon) of Grove City, Kathy Jo Irwin (Michael) of Titusville, James Byrns of Sulphur, LA, Peter Byrns (Mary Creamers) of St. Paul, MN; six grandchildren Jennifer Green, Alyssa Redmore, Kaitlyn Irwin, Kurtis Irwin, Brandon Byrns, Jordan Byrns; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jacquetta was preceded in death by a brother Jack Douglas and sister Joy Morrison.
Per Jacquetta no public services will be held.
She will be laid to rest in Grandfield Cemetery, Tillman County, OK.
