Helen L. Stewart

Helen L. Stewart, 93, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born in Pittsburgh, on August 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Pick) Boor.

On July 22, 1947 Helen married Frank E. Stewart; he preceded her in death on April 26, 2013.

For ten years, Helen owned and operated the former Park Laundry and Dry Cleaning, along with her husband, Frank. Additionally they owned and maintained several rental properties in the Meadville area. Prior to that Helen was employed by Channellock. She attended schools in Pittsburgh. Helen enjoyed eating out at various restaurants. Nothing made Helen more happy than time spent with her family.

Helen is survived by a son Arthur E. Stewart (Darlene) of Meadville, three grandchildren Susan Labeka (Brett) of Meadville, Sheri Spinnato (Scott) of Saegertown, Shelley Caravella (Craig) of Conneaut Lake, six great grandchildren Jady Folmar II (Kayla), Shawn Folmar II, Alexis Labeka, Ashley Labeka, Chase Caravella, Chelsea Caravella, one great great granddaughter to be born in April, a sister Mary Buri of Tennessee, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Frank, of 65 years, Helen was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Private services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST, MEADVILLE, with Pastor Jeffrey Conley of Meadville Alliance Church officiating.

Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband, Frank, in Denny Cemetery, Meadville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335.
