Geraldine "Gerry" J. King, 88, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at home with her family by her side.
Gerry was born in Pittsburgh on March 14, 1938, a daughter of the late Henry and Esther (Becker) Maidhof.
On April 12, 1958, Gerry married Thomas "Tom" C. King; he survives.
She was a long time member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville, and a 50+ year member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Gerry was employed by the former Jack's Pharmacy for 28 years. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Pittsburgh.
In addition to her husband, Tom, of 68 years, Gerry is survived by three children Elizabeth "Beth Ann" Rosko (William) of Pittsburgh, Thomas W. King (Tara) of Meadville, Michael S. King (Ann) of Rochester, NY, seven grandchildren Michelle Dalton (Jay), Ann St. Leger (John), Thomas J. King, Laura Dietrich (Mark), Katherine Rosko, Bryan King, Lorraine King, seven great grandchildren Claire, Grayson, Caroline, Adelyn, Amelia, Harrison, Avery, a brother Robert H. Maidhof (Maureen) of Waynesboro, an "adopted son" Lakshmi Kanth, MD, of TN, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 4-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC.,404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be conducted at 6:30 PM.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday July 10, 2026 at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Kyle Seyler, officiating.
Gerry will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery.
