George J. Heisler, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at the age of 97.

Born in February, 1929, in Camden, NJ, George has been a resident of Meadville since 1964. George proudly served his nation as a member of the US Navy on several destroyers during World War II. After his military service he attended Wentworth Technical Institute, Northeastern University, Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute and Purdue University Extension. After that he joined the Industrial Heating Department of General Electric in 1952, and was a Line Engineer until he joined Sunbeam in 1964 as a Project Engineer. During his tenure with Sunbeam, George served as Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales. His positions in sales took him all over the world, including many countries in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. He also spent time in South Korea and China as it opened up to trade in the 1970s. In 1983, he left Sunbeam to establish Heisler Associates as a manufacturer’s representative. In 1987, he returned to SECO/WARWICK as a Sales Project Engineer and was promoted to Product Manager of General Furnaces in 1989. Later he became Sales Manager of the Thermal Process Team. In addition, he was a local small business owner of Meadville Wood Products. George served the community in the past as Chairman of the Meadville Airport Commission and a member of the Vernon Township Water Authority. He was also a member of the Meadville Chamber of Commerce and ASM International.

George and Revetta are members of the Conneautville Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and chief coffee maker for many years. George had an engaging personality. He could sell sand to the Arabs. He loved fishing, and played golf regularly.

George is survived by his wife of 47 years Revetta, his son Michael Heisler (Marsha). His step-son Carl Hollabaugh Jr. predeceased him March 4, 2000. He is survived by Carl’s wife Sharon.

He is survived by his grandchildren Daivd Heisler (Katie), Ben Heisler Boyhe), Karisa Powell (Whitney II), Kathy Heisler, Shawn Hollabaugh (partner Misty), and Natasha Hollabaugh (partner David). George was also blessed with great grandchildren Hudson, Kinley, Whitney, Sofia, Rhys, Noah, Nico, Gavin, Lyric and Melody.

George had eight siblings. He is survived by sister-in-law Catherine Heisler who is just turning 97 herself. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Frederick Heisler (Stella), Rita Weikel (Ray), Joseph Heisler (Cathrine), Catherine "Cass" Mercanti (Sam), Susan Smargiassi (Nick), John Heisler (Betty), Jim Heisler (Ellen) and Lillian Pape (Larry).

Per George's wishes, no services will be held.
