George Edward Hood

On Thursday, June 4, 2020, George Edward Hood, life-long residence of Meadville, passed away at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness.

George was born May 31, 1942 to Charles and Pauline Hood.

George was a veteran, having served three years in the US Army. George had a passion for yard work and a love for cats. He combined these two passions into an extraordinary art for living. George is known by many for his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.

George was preceded in death by his father Charles, his mother Pauline, his son Michael, and his brother Charles A.

He is survived by two daughters Robin and Jody, two brothers Fred of Meadville, Ronald of Andover, CT, his sister Alberta Worth (Duane) of Beaverton, OR, a cousin/sister Darlene Gaines (Jim) of Monumental, CO, many nieces and nephews.

Our heart-filled appreciation and thanks to the staff of Meadville Medical Center.

Services will be private.
