Gary L. Dillaman, Sr., 73, of Meadville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.

Gary was born in Meadville, on April 11, 1952, a son of the late Max M. and Florence (Wright) Dillaman.

On August 5, 1978, Gary married Barbara A. Beltz; she survives.

A 1970 graduate of Meadville High School, Gary also graduated from the Crawford County VoTech where he studied Tool and Die. He went on to complete a Tool and Die apprenticeship at the former Talon Inc. and earned his Journeyman license. He worked at various Tool and Die shops, retiring on March 19, 2020, after 43 years from Bra-Vor Tool and Die, Inc. Gary served several terms as a Vernon Township Supervisor. He was a Past Master of Meadville Masonic Lodge #408, member of the Zem Zem Shrine Club, Past President and Lifetime Member of Vernon Central Hose Company and a member of the Meadville Elks BPOE #219. Gary enjoyed golfing and was a member of several golf leagues. He always enjoyed going to the Annual Cross Creek Classic in Titusville each year, earning the Duffer Award in 2017. He also enjoyed wood working, camping, boating, following NASCAR, and he loved to ride his Honda Gold Wing as much as flying his own airplane. He will truly be missed.

In addition to his wife, Barb, of 47 years, Gary is survived by two children Ashley Robertson (Matt Proper) of Meadville, Gary Dillaman, Jr. (Katie) of Merritt Island, FL; six grandchildren Owen and Luca Robertson, Beckett Proper, Finn, Sawyer, and Kai Dillaman; a brother James Dillaman (Brenda) of Saegertown; a brother in law, David Beltz (Barbara Williams) of Lakeland, FL and several nieces and nephews;

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his in laws, Louis and Judy Beltz.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at a future date which will be announced.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's memory to Shriners Hospital of Erie, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505 or Vernon Central Hose Co., 16589 McMath Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.
