Francis "Frank" Neal Kent

Francis "Frank" Neal Kent, 80, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at home with his family by his side.

Frank was born in Olean, NY on February 24, 1945, a son of the late Neal and Grace (Moore) Kent.

On November 18, 1967 Frank married Saundra "Sandy" Osborne; she survives.

Frank graduated from Warren High School in 1964. On May 28, 1965, he entered the US Air Force. There he quickly mastered the work of highly technical wire connections. Shortly after his honorable discharge on November 27, 1968, he became employed as an installer/repairman by Meadville Telephone, later known as Alltel and Windstream, meeting all the challenges of the ever changing industry, and retiring in 1998. An active member of VFW Post #2006 and Saegertown American Legion Post #205, he was also a member of Meadville Elks BPO #219 and West Mead II Fire Hall. Frank's church was the woods. He was an avid outdoors mans who loved to hunt and fish. His greatest love was family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Sandy of 57 years, Frank is survived by two daughters Jodi Marie Nageotte (Michael) of Blooming Valley, Nicole "Nikki" DeAnn Woods (Matt) of Meadville; five grandchildren Devan Hall (Bill), Christina Mattern (Jake), Jason Nageotte (Destiny), Bo Hiles (Jordyn), Drake Hiles (Sheilia); eight great grandchildren with two on the way; a brother David Kent (Judy) of FL; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by three brothers Patrick, John, and Michael Kent.

Private services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.

Frank will be laid to rest in Blooming Valley Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.

Memorial contributions may be made in Frank's memory to Crawford County VA Clinic, 16954 Conneaut Lake Rd. or Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., both in Meadville, PA 16335.
