Frances Marie Belknap

Frances Marie Belknap, 89, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Crawford County Care Center.

Frances was born in Meadville, on December 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Miceli) Badagliacca.

On June 27, 1980, Frances married Gary E. Belknap; he survives. She had previously been married to Daniel Jannazzo who also predeceased her.

She was an active member of St. Mary of Grace Church where she worked the annual Columbus Day Dinners.

Frances was a graduate of Meadville High School. Over the years she was employed by various local restaurants including Valenti's, Con Puckley's, the Elks, Chestnut Street Station, and the Lamplighter. Frances enjoyed reading, watching ice skating, Jeopardy and horror movies, especially the Dracula movies.

In addition to her husband, Gary, of 45 years, Frances is survived by three children Michelle Petruolo of Raleigh, NC, Danelle Jannazzo, Jody Jannazzo both of Meadville; three grandchildren Zachary, Arianna, Christopher; a sister Theresa Vandervort (Larry) of Buena Park, CA; two brothers Andy Badagliacca (Bernadine) of Mebane, NC, John Badagliacca (Eileen) of Meadville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings Margaret Perricone, Rose Cappellino, Joe and Ben Badagliacca.

Private services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.
