Emma Jean Cummings Buggs

Emma Jean Cummings Buggs, 62, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at home, with her family by her side.

Jean was born in Memphis, TN, on December 13, 1963, a daughter of the late Robert and Georgia Mae (Barber) Cummings, Sr.

She had married A.T. Buggs; he predeceased her.

Jean was a member of St. John Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. Over the years she worked at various restaurants and factories.

Jean is survived by siblings Willie-Ruth Stout (Rev. Richard), Beverly Williams, Tina Wofford, (Rev. Larry), Demetrius Ward-Manley (George), Bertha Eggleston, Michael Cummings, Melvin Cummings; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings Robert, Johnella, and Larry Cummings.

Visitation is 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM on Friday, April 17, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

A Home Going Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, at St. John Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, with Bishop Cameron Bowman officiating.

Jean will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
