Ellen R. Hrach

Ellen R. Hrach, 74, of Meadville, formerly of Pulsaski, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at Embassy of Park Ave.

Ellen was born in Mercer, on March 13, 1951, a daughter of the late Otto Alfred and Dolores June (Gantz) Klaas.

On October 13, 2001 Ellen married the love of her life David James Hrach; he preceded her in death on December 5, 2019.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Mars.

Ellen was a graduate of Mercer Area Schools and later in life was proud to graduate from Edinboro University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Ellen was employed by the Social Security Administration, New Castle Office, from August 1995 until her retirement in December 2006. In her earlier years she was a Teachers Aide for the Corry Area School District from September 1982 until 1985. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Ellen is survived by her siblings Kelvin Klaas (Penny) of Meadville, Gayle Kimmel (James) of AZ, Daniel Klaas (Cheryl) of OH, nieces and nephews Michelle (Jonathon), Micah (Katie) Caleb (Sarah), Shawn, Jaimee, Jaclyn, Jonathon.

In addition to her parents and husband David of 18 years Ellen was preceded in death by her children Floyd "Buddy" Lang and Amy Henderson.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 2-4 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Allegheny County Memorial Park, 1600 Duncan Ave., McCandless Twp., with Pastor Steve Mattocks, of First Baptist Church, Meadville, officiating.

Ellen will be laid to rest with her husband David in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
