Elizabeth "Betty" Gebhardt, 68, of Meadville, passed away by her husband's side on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Betty was born in Pittsburgh, on August 7, 1957, a daughter of the late Jerome and Margaret (Kuzman) Cawley.
She graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1975 and married Ron Gebhardt in August of 1976. They shared 49 years of marriage, and he was by her side until the very end.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to entertain, and after many years of working in the bar and restaurant industry, she fulfilled her longtime dream of owning her own business when she and Ron bought Chippers Pub in 2006. For almost 20 years they made Chippers a welcoming place for family, friends, and the many regulars who became family. She was a kind and generous person who cared deeply about others. She will be sadly missed.
In addition to her husband, Ron, Betty is survived by her daughters Char Boura (Dan Miller), Chrissy Lockard (Jason); granddaughter Isabella Lockard; sisters Kathie Jones, Barb Sturgeon; brothers Harry Cawley (Karen), Jerry Cawley (Pam); many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister Margaret "Peggy" Tomlinson.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with Daryl Gebhardt officiating.
