Elder Harold Goodrum, Sr., 73, of Meadville, was received by his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 while a patient of Hamot Medical Center, Erie.

Harold was born in Griffin, GA on March 4, 1952, a son of the late J. W. and Martha (McCord) Goodrum.

On May 14,1971 Elder Goodrum married Johnnie Mae Taylor, whom he cherished and dedicated his life to building a family.

A devoted member of Beacon Liberty Street Church Street Temple Church Of God In Christ. Elder Goodrum was the former Vice President for the 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional Sunday School Department, Assistant Pastor of Beacon Liberty, Erie District Sunday School Superintendent and Finance Chairman. He also enjoyed the time he spent doing prison ministry.

Harold was a 1969 graduate of Spaulding High School, Griffin, GA. He had 27 years of service in the Casting Department of the former Meadville Malleable. He was employed by Andover Industries for 8 years. He was a member of the Meadville YMCA where, he was a Stretch Instructor and enjoyed playing early morning basketball. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Harold developed his golf skills as a teenager in Griffin, GA. He was known for humiliating his unnamed {but they are here} competitors on the golf course. He was also known to be a "watch-a-holic" because of his passion for wrist watches. Elder Goodrum will be most remembered for his patience, kindness, humility, compassion, trustworthiness, and a man who loved the Lord fiercely.

In addition to his wife, Johnnie Mae, of 54 years, Elder Goodrum is survived by three children Harold Goodrum, Jr. (Joy) of Fairmont, WV, Sheila R. Arnold (Keith) of Meadville, Joannie L. Wilson (Gregory) of Wilkinsburg; eight grandchildren: Marshon Goodrum (Sami), Ke'Shaun Arnold, KiAndre Arnold, KeLetti Arnold, Jalen Arnold, Keithen Arnold, Cereniti and Lennox Wilson; three great grandchildren: Raeven, NoraLynne, Mila Mae; six sisters: Geraldine Goodrum, Mary Frances Goodrum, Melody Alexander, all of Griffin, GA, Bettie Jean Pickens, Joyce Goodrum, Dollie Mae McKibben (Jimmy) both of Meadville; a brother: Lavester Goodrum; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elder Goodrum was preceded in death by a grandson Gregory Wilson, Jr.; siblings Clara Stinson, Mary Ann Reid, Joann Goodrum, Fred Goodrum, and Toppie Goodrum.

Visitation is from 11 AM-1 PM on Monday, December 1, 2025, at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, where a Home Going Service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Tyrone Steals officiating.

Elder Goodrum will be laid to rest at Roselawn.
