Edward "Ed" J. Jackowski, Sr.

Edward "Ed" J. Jackowski, Sr., 74, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at UPMC Hamot, Erie.

Ed was born in Jersey City, NJ on November 3, 1949, a son of the late Stanley and Olga (Hawryluk) Jackowski.

On June 4, 1972 Ed married Victoria Goscinsky; she survives.

He attended St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church.

Ed was a graduate of Henry Snyder High School and of St. Peter's College, both in Jersey City, NJ. For many years he was employed as a Product Development Specialist for New York Life Insurance. He had been a Cub Scout Pack 996 Den Leader in Brooklyn, NY. His hobbies included gardening, making and painting wooden crafts.

In addition to his wife, Victoria, of 51 years, Ed is survived by a son Edward J. Jackowski, Jr. (Michelle) of Cambridge Springs and grandchild Brooke Lynn.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a sister Justine; two brothers Stanley, Jr. and Robert.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-6 PM on Monday, December 18, 2023, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 5:30 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Mary of Grace Church, 1985 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas, Pastor, officiating.

Ed will be laid to rest in Cochranton Cemetery.
