Donald M. Prester, Jr.

Donald M. Prester, Jr., 76, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Embassy of Park Ave., Meadville.

Donald was born in Philadelphia, on May 4, 1948, a son of the late Donald Moses and Catherine (Polite) Prester, Sr.

On April 2, 1977 Donald married Dedra Jean Brown; she preceded him in death on May 26, 2022. 

He was a member of Bethel AM & E Church, Meadville.

Donald was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged October 18, 1968. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He retired in 2013 from the former Days Inn of Meadville. 

Donald is survived by three children Mikel Prester (Suzanne) of Centerville, Danielle Prester (David Benjamin) of Buffalo, NY, Dedra Prester of Denver, CO; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a host of brothers and sisters.

Donald will be laid to rest with his wife Dedra in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
