Emblem
Dominic "Dom" Fucci, 94, of Meadville, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at the home of his daughter and son in law, Chris and Tom Nuzback.

Dom was born in Meadville, on February 22, 1930, a son of the late Joseph and Louise (Euliano) Fucci.

He married Alice Fox; she preceded him in death on November 15, 1997.  He was previously married to Katherine Cook.

Dom was a life long member of St. Mary of Grace Church.  He attended Meadville schools.  A US veteran, Dom entered the Army on May 9, 1951 and served his country honorably until April 29, 1953.  Upon his discharge, he became employed by the former Frontier Homes.  He went on to work for Erie Lackawanna and Conrail Railroads. During those years he also worked part time as a PA Game Commissioner.  Later when the railroad left Meadville, Dom became employed by Crawford Central School District as the Building Manager of Meadville Senior High School, retiring in 1995 after eleven years of service.  A lifetime member of both the Italian Civic Club and VFW Post #2006, he recently also became a member of Station 3.  After his retirement, he especially enjoyed going to the clubs to sign up and socialize with his friends.  He was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing and hunting locally and out west. His hobbies included collecting hunting rifles and playing cards, especially during the holidays when all family gathered and particularly with his brother, Neil, even though they could get a little rowdy.  Dom had a fond appreciation for Disco music and dancing.  He possessed a deep love for all of his family and lit up when his grandchildren and great grandchildren visited him.  He will be sadly missed.

Dom is survived by two daughters Chris Nuzback (P. Thomas), Kara Fucci both of Meadville; ten grandchildren P. Thomas Nuzback (Amy) of Fairview, Christopher Nuzback (fiance Tai Dean) of East Mead Township, Michelle Hoffman (Michael) of Chesapeake Beach, MD; Manning Freeman (companion Stacie), Michael Freeman (Megan), Christina Getty (boyfriend Austin), KaRayah Hamilton, Madison Cunningham, Camren Cunningham, Khalil Manning; twelve great grandchildren Hope, Jordan, Hayley, Brittany, Nathanial, Brooks, Aureana, Anabella, Cade, Riley Grea, Elliana, Phoenix; three sisters Carmella "Jane" Gaglione, Joan Gilbert (James) both of Meadville, Mary Marenda of FL, a brother Jimmy Fucci of Meadville; his former wife Katherine Cook; several nieces and nephews.
