Deloris M. Williams

Deloris M. Williams, 81, of Townville, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at Titusville Area Hospital.

Deloris was born at home in Saegertown, on September 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Paul A. and Abby M. (Mattocks) Uplinger.

On September 17, 1992 Deloris married Gary Douglas Williams; he preceded her in death on April 4, 2017. She had previously been married to Robert C. Burke and Emerson G. Bussard who also predeceased her.

She was an active member of New Beginnings Church of God where she served on the "Who So Ever" Ministry and loved working in the nursery. She enjoyed Bible Studies and fellowship with various church groups.

A 1960 graduate of Saegertown High School, Deloris earned her LPN Degree through Crawford County Vo-Tech in 1986. She continued her education by graduating from the former Villa Maria College in 1989 as a Registered Nurse. Over the years Deloris was employed by Wesbury, Meadville Medical Center, V.N.A and Interim Heath Care, from where she retired in 2018. In 2016 she was named Interim Health Care Nurse of the Year. Deloris had a gift for taking care of others and held a special place in her heart caring for children with terminal illnesses as well as children with special needs. When she wasn't working, Deloris was a dog lover who enjoyed caring for her Huskies, gardening, and listening to old traditional church hymns.

Deloris is survived by three children Bruce E. Bussard, Donna L. Bussard both of Townville, Timothy Burke (Dana) of Panama City Beach, FL; a sister Jane Adams (Ken) of Meadville; a brother Alton Uplinger (Jean) of Oakdale, CA; nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 1-2 PM at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, with A Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2 PM, with Pastor Curtis Clark officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Deloris's memory to Meadville Medical Center Foundation for the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 736 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335.
