David J. Mailliard

David J. Mailliard, 60, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019, at home,surrounded by his family.

David was born in Meadville on May 30, 1958, a son of the late Wilfred and Beulah (Cutshall) Mailliard.

On August 12, 2017 David married Cynthia S. Hamilton; she survives.

For more than 15 years David worked at various Kwik Fill locations in the Meadville area and was fondly known to many as "Kwik Fill Dave". He had previously been employed by Mailliard Lumber for over 30 years. He was a 1977 graduate of Maplewood High School, which was the first class to graduate from the, then, new school. A lifetime member of Randolph Fire Department, Dave began as a junior fireman and eventually served as Fire Chief for several years. His hobbies included hunting, golfing, gambling and woodworking. Nothing brought him greater joy than large family outings. He was happiest when he was surrounded by all of his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Cynthia, David is survived by two children Chris D. Mailliard and his wife Tanaya, Cassandra M. Fronce and her husband Gerald, both of Meadville, three grandchildren Kylee Lynn Mailliard, Finley Elizabeth Mailliard, Brianna Roberts and her husband Jared, two great grandchildren JR Roberts, Zella Mae Roberts, a sister Val Jean Osborne and her husband Ed of Hadley, a brother Terry Mailliard and his wife Daphne of Guys Mills, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers Jack Mailliard, Dick Mailliard and a sister Linda Karns.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC, 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. Family and friends are also invited to call from 10-11 AM on Saturday, January 12th, at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Temple Jarrell officiating.
