Daniel "Dan" Haines Geiger, Sr.

Daniel "Dan" Haines Geiger, Sr., 77, of Venango, passed away suddenly, Sunday, June 22, 2025, at home.

Dan was born in Meadville, on May 21, 1948, a son of the late Norma Jean (Owens) Geiger.

On June 24, 1969, Dan married Eleanor Krupski; she survives.

Dan was a member of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church where he served as a Lector. He worked in the Tool and Die industry as an EDM Specialist. Dan began his working career at the former Talon, Inc. where he worked until it closed its doors. He went on to work for Price Tool, then Don Woods, and later retired from Home Depot in 2024. Dan was a member of Saegertown Volunteer Fire Department, Venango VFW Post #169, and Saegertown American Legion Post #205. For more than 40 years he and his wife, Eleanor, enjoyed leading their 4-H Club, Hoof-Beats. Dan loved camping and the simplicity it provided. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Eleanor, of nearly 56 years, Dan is survived by two children Daniel H. Geiger, Jr. of Venango, Deana Reibel (Bill) of Townville; two grandchildren Sarah and Garrett Reibel; a brother Bill Geiger, Jr. (Linda) of Saegertown; nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held.
